Created this by first adding gesso to watercolor paper. Hand painted with watercolors etc and while wet placed on the gesso page. This will be a background page for my mixed media quote book.

Original watercolor then digitally altered backgrounds

I did this small watercolor of 3 floral sprigs. Scanned it into my pc then played with Photoshop.
Thought these would make unusual backgrounds in part or whole.

Sheet music with torn edges and watercolor diamond design.

I love painting with watercolor - this hungry 100 year old paper absorbed it very well. Used my paper ripping ruler to guide my brush lines. Parts of this would look good in a digital collage.
