Some vintage pages from a very old book

As you can see this one is entitled: Love's Hiding Place. Click on it before downloading so you get the larger version. These are for your personal use only. Please do not reproduce in a collage sheet or similar. Enjoy. Let me see what you create with these. I have many more from a book with copyright date of 1891. The pages are very fragile so hope the life of these images can be furthered in some sort of a art form. Suggested uses: Book covers, collages, etc.

Parts of this could be used as a background digitally or on a greeting card. A collage background would be a good start with this too. I customized this green paint color - it is so soft.

New garden pictures blog added.

I have added a new blog: YARDEN COLLECTIONS. If you are interested have a look:

This is a place where I am archiving my garden/yard pictures with some chatter.

Ivy leaves used as a "stencil".

Sprinkled dried ivy leaves on a sheet of packing paper that was already sprayed. I then sprayed again with Glimmer Mist. Altered color in Photoshop after I scanned it into my PC.

I like how it wrinkled. I will probably iron this original sheet before using in a collage.

Multi color grunge diamond stamped on watercolor.

Had fun with a friend creating this background as a base in multi colors using a diamond stamp to look like grunge. Then will add other collage items. Will then cut it up and make gift tags out of it. On reverse side will stamp "TO and FROM". Will post some finished gift tags on my Lavendula Loveliness blog at a later date. This could also be used as a digital background, changing the colors to suit page. Enjoy!

Grey and white art page with swirl negative stamp

Applied gesso and paint to the back ground then while still wet I stamped with foam stamp which removed some of the gesso and paint. Wouldn't this make a nice page for a altered book or diary. Or how about a cover for a note book?

Gold, grey with white texture stencil background

Painted the background with gold and cream. Grey diamond design done at random by hand with a stenciled design with textured stencil paste. I really was just cleaning my stencil from a previous project. Portions of this could be used as a background.

What do you think I made with this?

It's amazing what you can get
when you are cleaning off your
brushes and stamps. Of course
I hoped I could eventually
make something out of it.
Go to my Lavendula Loveliness
Blog to see what I came up
with in the end.

Gold texture with pink diamond underlay

Did this on ordinary brown paper with several gold paints. The water rippled the paper giving it some neat texture. This could be changed to blue for a water effect in a collage. The diamond in pink is very subtle.
