Started this background by attaching tissue paper with Mod Podge then painted over it. Allowed it to dry then randomely painted it again. Scanned into my pc and digitally altered it some more from there.

Started with a heavy sheet of white cardstock, painted it black then when dry I used my Score it Board to create the diamond design. Took sanding block and ran over the raised parts to remove the black paint. Hope you can use this in something.

This indeed is grungy, but I love it. Started with some paint and gesso and a stamp. Once scanned into Photoshop I did some digital processing. Oh what fun...... cheaper than therapy.

Used Golden's Gel Medium on a lace doily and rose stencil for this background. The original of this is destined as a book cover.

The process to do this is a bit lengthy. So I will skip it and tell you that it has wax paper, kleenex and Modge Podge in it. I then scanned it into Photoshop and added some leaves from vintage wallpaper. Have fun with it. Please do share what you do with it by leaving a comment.

Took distress ink and rubbed it over the crumpled vintage sheet music surface to give it a grunge look. Then in Photoshop I used the palette knife filter.

I was dyeing some cheescloth and while still damp I placed it on card stock and ran a brayer over it. It left a grunge look which I like in certain applications or backgrounds. Enjoy.

I painted the cream colored card-stock with Gold gesso from Daniel Smith. Then I folded it at random to give it some texture. Scanned it to my pc and adjusted it in Photoshop using levels.

"............ the cashier looked at me rather inquisitively as I asked her to open the glass display case. I had spotted the fancy doily, and after inquiring of it's availability I asked her to retrieve it for me. It caught my eye with it's intricate design albeit a plastic doily. None the less it will make a wonderful "mask" for my creative life.............." SOME DAY I WILL START A REAL JOURNAL!

I used coffee to spray on the plastic doily giving this subtle design. Hope you like it too and can use it. In the bottom 2 photos I used frames from Photoshop Elements 9.

Did some ripping and painted edges before gluing this down to form a patchwork. Can you find the heart? There is a date on top barely showing February 1921 approximately. I plan on cutting this up and using it in part on some cards with vintage images. Enjoy.

I used this in the back of one of my journals. It started as some wallpaper which I did not care for the color so I painted it this lavender color then ran some sandpaper over it. It is very textured.

I must share with you how I came up with this. One evening I was walking by the dining table and noticed the light shining through a rattan lattice chair on a thank you card sitting there. I took a picture of it then added the golden colors. It would make a subtle background. Try it!

Stamped the diamond design with Golden's gel medium then did a light brushing with a soft transparent gold before adding the "gilded" butterfly which I did using alcohol inks.

Stamped the quote on then embossed. This paper I made by dipping printer paper into printer ink and water all scrunched up. Pressed flat after it dried and used the border punch. Made a nice ATC card.

Last week I shared with you how I further used my printer ink. On this I used an old portion of a plastic tablecloth as a mask or stencil and sprayed the ink on - leaving a interesting design on printer paper or other paper. Watch my Lavendula Loveliness blog this fall for ways that I used this. I made up sheets in all of the printer cartridge colors.
